Oric Schematic – Issue 6.1
After looking on my project roadmap, I’ve discovered that I’ve never released the Replic’Oric schematics!
But first, please be warned, this revision is not the final one for the Replic’Oric project as the hardware VSYNC part is currently broken and shouldn’t be implemented the way it is now on this schematic.
A newer version of the Oric Schematic has been release, please use this version for reference instead of the one in this post.
Second update on WonderLyzer
I’m sending right now the data to process the batch of PCB, due to some test (printer’n’paper test are the best thing to do!) I found that I stupidly use the width of the internal cartridge PCB instead of the cart itself, and found out that the PCB was going more than expected in the swan, so I do a small modification on the PCB to use a more accurate width, and add a T shape like on top to support more the cart connector, and adding a small surprise on this part.

Oricium
Chema, a spanish developer, and one of the last game developer for the Oric, have just release his latest game: Oricium
It’s a shoot-em-up game with horizontal scrolling. The rendering on a real Oric is just unbelievable, especially knowing the computer graphics limitation.

New WonderSwan information, thanks WonderWitch!
Hello everynone!
Here is the great new, I was finally be able to correctly and cleanly dump a WonderWitch (without any hardware modification)! As you may know there is no known dump of the WonderWitchon internet, at least none I’me aware of. Anyway no emulator are really able to correctly support the WonderWitch. The only one that is “near” is oswan173, but there is no way to use it after as there is no serial port emulation, and I suspect that it does not correctly emulate the SRAM part as the WonderWitch use much more SRAM than standard game.
Also, don’t ask, I will not provide the dump for obvious copyright reasons.
But why I speak about this? Because the WonderWitch will allow me (and you also) to know more about the WonderSwan.

Another Gamy-game :)
Few month ago, I’ve discovered the marvelous world of MOOC and was looking for a fun course to take. Finally I found one on EdX: UT.6.01x Embedded Systems – Shape the World brought to us by the professor Jonathan Valvano and professor Ramesh Yerraballi.
Not that I really need to take such a course on embedded system as it is both my hobby and my job, but I always like to learn new things, and this could be fun. And it was 🙂

Swan-a-ton
I am still looking for swan parts! Don’t hesitate to leave a comment if you have something you want to give!
Call for donation
Hi everyone!
I’m searching for dead WonderSwan (when I say dead I mean really non working unit) whatever the version it is (B&W, Color, Crystal), to be able to go further on my project, if you have one that you want to give, don’t hesitate to leave me a comment, I will contact you back to define where to send it 🙂
A color/crystal with a non broken screen will be a plus, but it’s not that important.
The goal it to get the cart connector from the device, and try to transform the device as an emulator remote for a future project…
Thank you in advance for you help 🙂
